Rhododendron Halfdan Lem 7.5L

A stunning rhododendron with eye-catching red flower buds that open to display sizable red flowers with a darker patch in the centre. These will stay red in more shaded areas but turn pink in the sun. It has thick, dark green foliage and an erect habit. Flowers in May.

Best cultivated in a wet soil in a position with sun or moderate shade, avoiding the early morning sun. This plant needs acidic soil because it is ericaceous, or acid-loving. It can be grown in a container using ericaceous compost if your soil is unsuitable.
