Succulents can be quite simple to grow, which makes them a great way to get started in gardening. But, knowing how to take care of your succulents is important because too much water and inadequate light might damage them.

Because of drought, succulents have adapted to survive. This means that they require less frequent watering than other houseplants, and that excessive watering may even be harmful. The general rule is to water succulents only from spring to autumn and to let the compost dry up in between.
