The Gertrude Jekyll English Shrub Rose from David Austin Roses is beautiful and bold. Always one of the first English Roses to start flowering, its perfect scrolled buds open to large, rosette-shaped flowers of bright glowing pink. The beautiful, perfectly balanced Old Rose scent is often described as being the quintessential Old Rose fragrance. A vigorous rose; it will form a medium-sized, upright shrub. The plant is named for the famous garden designer and author, Gertrude Jekyll.

Introduced in 1986, this rose is suitable for all soil types and thrives in partial or full sunlight. It is ideal for brightening up a mixed border or celebrating in rose hedges and borders. Versatile, the shrub can also be enjoyed in pots and containers, or for cutting and enjoying in your home.

After approximately three years of annual pruning, the Gertrude Jekyll will be about 110cm tall and 90cm wide, with a traditional Old Rose scent and large blooms. As a repeat flowerer, this bush will give you fragrant flushes of flowers from late spring to early winter.
