Why Kiln-Dried Softwood Logs? The Green Olive Firewood Company's kiln-dried softwood logs are processed using timber from managed woodland, dried to below 20% and ready to burn. Softwood logs are the ultimate fire-starter they are great for building a fire and getting it going quickly & easily, particularly in a wood burning stove, the modern ones will burn these efficiently too. We recommend getting the fire burning with these, then adding some of our Kiln-Dried Hardwood to keep the fire going, and for even higher heat and an extended burn, buy some of our signature Olive Firewood.
