Summary
The Ghislaine de Feligonde Rambling Rose from David Austin Roses is delicate and tumbling. This is a useful rambler in that it is almost thornless, very healthy and not too vigorous. The orange buds open to small, pale apricot blooms with a yellow base, then fade to peach, pink and white. In autumn the flowers tend to be more pink. There is a sweet, musky fragrance and it repeat flowers throughout the summer. It can also be pruned to create a tall, rounded shrub.
Introduced in 1876, this rose is suitable for all soil types and thrives in partial or full sunlight. It is ideal for brightening up a wall, fence, or doorway, or threading through a standard arch or obelisk.
After approximately three years of annual pruning (made easier through the lack of thorns), the Ghislaine De Feligonde will be about 3.75 metres tall, with a delicious medium musk scent and small blooms. As a repeat flowerer, this bush will give you fragrant flushes of flowers from late spring to early winter.
