Garden Centre FAQs Q. Do you allow dogs in your garden centres? A. As much as we are dog lovers here at Whitehall, unfortunately it is just not practical to allow dogs into our centres. With the farm shops and restaurants at both sites and the amount of families with children, we have had to enforce a no dog policy. Both garden centres have large overflow car parks with grass areas where dogs are allowed. Guide dogs are an exception from this rule. We hope that you understand our policy and hope that this is not too much of an inconvenience. Q. What are your current opening hours? A. Our opening hours are often changing by the season at both sites. Please check our opening hour’s page for the latest up to date trading hours here.
Q. What is the minimum age I can apply for job at your garden centres? A. We feel that having youth in our employment team is very important. We would be happy to hear from anyone over the age of 16 wanting to join our growing team.

Q. Do you have customer wheelchairs available at your centres and how easy is your disabled access? A. We have tried to make both centres as accessible as possible for wheelchair users. We would like to think all of our customers can access all of our departments with ease. Please keep in mind that Lacock in particular has some areas that include steep gradients that may require additional help to access. Customer wheelchairs are available for use at both sites.
Q. Are you able to answer my gardening/plant related questions? I am really in need of some advice! A. We will try our very best. Q. I want a specific plant, are you able to order it in for me? A. At Whitehall, we are able to obtain many different species of plants. Although we may not stock a particular variety at the time of question, we may well be able to obtain it for you. Q. I would like to send a picture of my plant to you by email. Hopefully you can help and tell me what is wrong with it! A. Q. Are you able to price match items? A. We are always trying to be competitive with our prices and are open to price matching. Before you contact us by email or telephone. Please ensure that you have the website and company name of the store that you would like us to price match to. The item must be in stock with a reasonable lead time. Although we aim to please our customers and try our hardest to fulfil their needs, it sometimes is simply not possible to price match certain items. For more information, please contact us.

Q. Do you deliver to Ireland and other overseas countries? A. Unfortunately at present, we cannot offer this service. This is something that we are looking into and hopefully in the future will be able to offer a solution. At the moment, it is just not practical with cost of postage usually exceeding the value of goods. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
